THE NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION OF JAMAICA is a private, not-for-profit, developmental organization created to assist micro, small and medium businesses to start, grow and develop through the delivery of innovating financing products.

WHY WAS THE NDFJ CREATED? The NDFJ was created in 1981 when there was a critical need for financing that was manageable for the small businesses and that was not provided by the then financial institutions. PURPOSE STATEMENT The creation of a motivating and empowering environment to facilitate the achievement of personal development, fulfillment and happiness; through successful and ethical entrepreneurial pursuits that will posivetly impact those we serve.

‘Making Business Easier’ The National Development Foundation of Jamaica provides Technical Assistance and Training (TST) in support of its lending facilities to micros, small and medium sized businesses.

The NDFJ provides pre-loan technical assistance and training and consultancy to groups and individuals seeking to become clients of the NDFJ or other business persons who just need guidance for their businesses.

Training and technical assistance is ongoing at the NDFJ, informing entrepreneurs, individuals (retired, laid off), persons with challenges, high school leavers and university graduates, of the changing business environment locally and abroad.

Training is interactive and covers a wide variety of topics important to the operation of business.
